The perinatal period is an incredibly unique and often stressful time in an individual's life. Becoming a parent is a big transition and rarely goes exactly as planned. Depression, anxiety, complications during pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, caregiving, and previous trauma history can result in increased stress during this time. Using EMDR, CBT, and psychotherapy, I help individuals and their children during this period to address their mental health symptoms and gain confidence to be the parents they want to be.
